The best part of getting a cowhide as opposed to other types of rugs is that they are very easy to clean and maintain, especially with pet fur and dirt. Because their very low pile height and durability, you can easily shake them out or vacuum up any hair or debris.

Even if your doggy has an accident on it, it's extremely easy to clean. Just scoop up any loose waste, wipe down with some mild soap and water, then let it dry out. If there is any remaining scent, just put some baking soda or carpet freshener on it and vacuum it and...voila! Your cowhide is as good as new.
